Snow skiing or a tropical location sounds great!
Greg and I are both 56 and retired teachers, we also own and operate a Tissue Culture Laboratory and Nursery which is our family business. Life gets fairly hectic most of the time which is why we look forward to our holidays away! We have three adult children who sometimes join us on our adventures. We have had quite a few exchanges to date and without exception everyone has been delighted with our farmhouse and its location. Our home usually turns into everyone's relaxing home away home stay during their Australian adventure and they usually ask us if they can stay longer.
Our home is a large old farmhouse and is very comfortable and was charmingly renovated a few years ago. It is a family house with all the modern conveniences. Any family would feel immediately at ease in our home. We along with all our friends, love it's location, outlook and ambience. I'm sure you will too.
We live on a 22 acre banana, mango and blueberry plantation which is only a 2 minutes drive to many safe, beautiful beaches and tourist attractions and 4 minutes drive to the town centre.
Our home has 3 large bedrooms with double beds. The sun room also has a lay lounge. We have an above ground pool but many beautiful patrolled beaches are a few minutes drive away. The farm offers total safety and privacy. Our friends, who will meet you on your arrival, only live a few minutes away if you need them. Our big verandah, where most nights in summer are spent having barbeques, overlooks banana, blueberry, mango trees, forest and hills, Most nights the surf can be heard in the distance and definitely always frogs in the dams.
As we are an operating farm, Greg or one of our long trusted friends will need to visit the farm to pick the fruit and check the irrigation water but you will definately not see or hear him unless of course you would like to pick some of your own fruit or experience the running of an Aussie farm. If our exchange is non-simultaneous Greg and I either use this time to visit our children or we have a small cabin at the back of the farm set up for our short stays( again, you will not see or hear us)
Coffs Harbour is a region of green, pristine rainforests; relaxed, friendly towns; a rich history and heritage; a superb string of golden beaches washed by surf; and a spectacular underwater landscape beneath blue Pacific Ocean waters. It is world famous for its beaches, surfing, forest hinterlands, rainforest walks, pastoral settings and the Solitary Islands Marine Reserve for diving and snorkelling. Our wonderful climate allows outdoor activities year round. Coffs Harbour is midway between Sydney and Brisbane and has a large regional airport servicing cheap 45 minute flights to these destinations place elsewhere. We are perfectly placed to explore the east coast. We are only minutes to championship golf courses, surfing, bushwalking, fishing, whale watching and top restaurants.
