John is a semi-retired Engineer and Basia is an art Teacher during Sydney school holidays,part time art therapist and artist. We like to travel overseas a couple of times a year and have recently enjoyed a superb exchange(our 9th exchange) in glorious Yorkshire. On our wish list for 2015 is a week in Berlin, first week June and we would also love an exchange in New York or Santa Fe USA in October 2015.We are open to other countries. Because of work commitments, May and October are our ONLY POSSIBILITY for travel to Europe and the USA. May is always great here, our very recent exchangers enjoyed sunny days with average 25degrees centigrade temps. Summer is hot and humid.
We spend Christmas and January in Sydney, I(Basia)teach kids art workshops weeks 3 and 4 of January and all other Sydney School holidays, therefore those times are not possible for exchange.
Our interests include all that travel offers including immersing ourselves in local culture,art,hiking,music and dining (Especially if we have shopped in local markets for our produce). We would like to have some email correspondence to assist our fellow exchangers prior to the exchange, having found all our exchanges greatly enhanced by prior communication. We have now thoroughly enjoyed 9 house exchanges, each one a wonderful experience, and each one extending to delightful friendships.
We are always open to consider other travel destinations,including in Australia, so do not hesitate to write. Outlined above is our "wish List" but other options will be happily considered.
