My name is Susannah (28) and I am originally from the UK - Anthony (30) and I met whilst both traveling in Vietnam (Ant is Australian) and have been living together in Wollongong ever since. We are getting married in April and have subsequently decided we would like to spend the next 12 - 18 months living back in London close to my family (after which time we will no doubt be craving a return to the sunshine and coastline!).
Ant runs a local family building business (as such the house has been renovated with plenty of TLC) and I currently commute to Sydney everyday as I work in Finance - we both love to travel. Ant in particular has close links into the local Wollongong community through his involvement with the local suf-club and having grown up locally...so we would be happy to help you get as involved in local aussie life as you would like to be..!
We also own two beautiful cats (Monkey & Oscar, both neutered males, 1. 5 years old - Monkey is a talkative Siamese and Oscar is a domestic short-hair - both very loving!) who we are unfortuneately unable to take with us to the UK, so we are looking ideally for anyone who loves animals and is prepared to feed and water them, providing cuddles as required (!) - they really have lovely natures and would make wonderful company for a family, couple or single cat-lover. We are of course happy to care for any pets you might also have - in fact it would be a pleasure!

Wollongong is approx an hour south of Sydney by car (1hr 20min by train). Wollongong Station is a mainline station serviced by all express trains that serve the South Coast out of Sydney's Central Station. Nestled between escarpment to the West and ocean to the East, Wollongong offers plenty of national park (trekking, mountain biking, camping, horse-riding, para-gliding) as well as some beautiful coastline that provides the opportunity to get involved in any one of the many water sports. There are several very active surf-clubs around Wollongong offering the chance for children and/or adults to get involved in surf-boat rowing, board and ski paddling, surfing etc.

The area also offers a good variety of cafes, bars and restaurants. It is not as busy as central Sydney but still offers a good variety. Over the last 12 months in particular Wollongong has seen a steady increase in the number of high-end restaurants and newly renovated bars, complimenting the already well-estblished social scene and family orientated establishements. The WIN Entertainment centre also hosts numerous shows and concerts throughout the year, with an open-air cinema just a 20 minute drive away in the summer. During the winter the Snowy Mountains are 2. 5 hours away so easily accessible for a weekend skiing.

Mangerton a very leafy suburb and attracts a good variety of native wildlife. We also have some wonderful neighbours-the street is very friendly and safe.
