“We stayed with Alan & Maree in Launceston Tasmania in 2014 for about a week as a hospitality swap. They are a very friendly couple. The house was kept beautifully tidy and we were well looked after throughout our stay. When they came back to stay with us in Oxford UK, they were great company and very considerate of our property. We would highly recommend swapping with Alan & Maree.”

“We exchanged simultaneously with Alan and Maree and spent two weeks in their lovely 1940s home, situated close to the city centre and the amazing Cataract Gorge. We enjoyed exploring Launceston on foot and taking in the amazing old buildings and learning the history of the area. 8kms drive to the Tamar Swamplands where we walked the 4kms boardwalk and experienced the bird and wildlife. We had the use of Alan\'s car and did many day trips, visiting Mole Caves, Evendale, Delaraine and driving through forests and rural countryside. We had the opportunity to play lawn bowls at the Launceston Bowling Club, established in 1893, with friendly locals. One of our highlights was being able to read Alan and Maree\'s wonderful travel diaries - such well travelled and interesting people. On our return we were able to meet up with Maree and Alan for coffee before they departed on their travels. An opportunity to talk about our experiences and learn about theirs. We can certainly recommend exchanging with Maree and Alan. Robyn and Brian”
“We had a wonderful time in Australia and specially in Tasmania,in the house of Maureen and Alan. Their hospitality was so great and we will never forget our time with swimming, walking and enjoying the lovely and wild nature. Thank you again Maureen and Alan”

My name is Alan and my wife is Maree.
We are retired accountants. Alan enjoys his hobby of converting vans to motorhomes. Maree spends much time in her sewing room, enjoying puzzles and in the garden..
We enjoy travel both overseas and within Australia, and set off often to see Australia and the world. We really enjoy the experience of living within communities in another country, rather than in hotels.
When in Australia, we also enjoy motorhome travel.
We have exchanged houses 51 times and thoroughly enjoy the experience; they are all unique.
We are non-smokers. We have no pets.We really enjoy the company of our 4 grandchildren, Eric 17, Eleanor 14 and 7 year old twins named Matilda and Frankie.
You are invited to share our wonderful older but cheerful home in the heart of Launceston in the north of Tasmania. The house is sighted to take advantage of the sun as well as the extensive views.
All assistance will be given to make your stay at our house as good as it can be.
We are also very happy to have non-simultaneous exchanges or to host you.
We will respect your home and leave it in the same condition as we found it.Importantly, we are also seeking longer term exchanges as well as shorter ones so we can better absorb your customs
