Hello from lovely Brussels
I have 5 months of vacations and would be happy to spend them somewhere far from my home. I already have a great experiance with Airbnb - I rent app-s and welcome people in my place.
I'm in love with travelling but to be a tourist is not what I would prefer. I would like to live in a new place - to get that style of life, habits of people who live there, their language and day-to-day actions.
Area:
There are many cultures living simultaneously here. It’s fantastic – in one street you will hear different languages, will see faces from all over the world. Portugese bakery, Spanish wine, Italian pizza, Turkish olives, and Belgian farmers market, all within a few blocks.
There is the Moeder Lambric here, which is world renowned for its amazing selection of beer: more than 200 types of beer.
Saint-Gilles - Brussels Main Art Nouveau District. This area with many art nouveau buildings makes a nice difference to the sometimes crowded old city center part of Brussels. Here you will find the gorgeous art nouveau Horta House (Musée Horta), Hotel Tassel, Hotel Hannon and many others.
Farmers market each Monday is just under your windows: homemade croissants, waffles, jams. Small tracks with wine, snacks, hot pancakes, and burgers. You may be in a crowd there, listening to Belgium gossips, or look at it from your balcony. At 20:00 party will be over. You’ll sleep calm.
If not Monday – each day on Parvis de Saint Gilles – just 10 minutes walk
I’ll give you addresses of perfect restaurants within 5-10 minutes walk, good cafes for lunch, excellent bars for a drink, cozy places for a breakfast.
