Acerca de nuestra casa

We live in a beautiful Edwardian family house with many period features in a friendly quiet suberb half an hour's walk from the centre of Bristol. Our road is a very quiet crescent within walking distance of a wide variety of shops including the best butchers and bakers in Bristol. Well we think so! The public transport is excellent with regular buses and a local train station.
We have a newly installed kitchen which is open plan with the sunny dining room, making this the heart of the house. From the dining room are french doors opening on to a patio. Ours is a south facing private garden stuffed with plants and shrubs. It is amazing how secluded and quiet our garden feels.
We have a separate utility room with a freezer, second fridge, washing machine and airer. We have a newly installed bathroom, an ensuite shower room and a third toilet downstairs. So you will never have to queue!
The house is on 3 floors, there are two large double bedrooms, and two smaller single rooms, each could accommodate an additional bed or cot if necessary.

Más sobre nosotros

  1. We are Laurel (Mum), who teaches art and the house is full of her own work. Colin (dad) is an English teacher, Jos is at Birmingham University and Maddie is doing GCSEs. When she finishes we hope to visit our friends in New South Wales - so an Australian swap in July 2007 would be great! There is also Will who is a primary teacher living in Yorkshire and his partner Amber.
We have done one major swap with an Australian family at Soldiers Point near Newcastle NSW Aus which went really well. We swapped cars as well as houses and that was great for both families.
I have a brother living near Cadiz in Southern Spain and we would like to combine a vist with some other parts of Spain, Barcelona would be a favourite!
We would love to explore more of our own country, so offers from anywhere in the UK are very welcome.

We are close to all Bristol City's historic attractions. Bristol is a vibrant city with lots to do from a visit to the city docks and the remarkable SS Great Britain, a walk across the famous Suspension Bridge, visits to the zoo, @ Bristol, the hands on science museum or the City Museum. Bristol has lots of green open space and fantastic architecture.

We are 10 minutes drive from Wales to the West, North Somerset to the South and South Gloucestershire to the North. The famous city of Bath is 11 miles away! You couldn't be better situated for an opportunity to explore stunning countryside including the Mendips, the Quantocks and the Cotswolds. Even the Dorset coast and Devon are less than an hour away. Or a hot air balloon ride from Ashton Court could make this a really special holiday!
