Acerca de nuestra casa

Our apartment is a very classic 70 m2 Copenhagen apartment in a great area 15 min walk from the old city center. It is located on the 1. floor (second story) of a house from 1870. It has a combined living room and dining room and a bedroom with a double bed and access to a large vest facing balcony with lots of afternoon and evening sun for sunbathing, enjoying the view of the common garden or barbecuing and drinking wine in the evening. The balcony has tables, chairs and a barbecue in the summer. Our son's bedroom is connected to the living room with double doors. At the moment the room has a baby cot, but we expect to switch to a larger kid's bed before summer. We can always supply an extra baby cot upon request, and there are also a madras or the sofa (2m) for an extra person. Both the bedroom and the kids' bedroom have black curtains for keeping the room dark at night during the light Danish summers.
The kitchen has a microwave, fridge and large freezer and a gas stove. There is no dishwasher.
The bathroom has a bathtub and a washing machine.
The living room and kids' room overlook The People's Park with two playgrounds. A lovely park for drinking coffee or beer and meeting people.
A small cocktailbar is going to open downstairs from our apartment so some noise may occur on weekends.
The common garden has tables and barbecues and a playground and really nice neighbors. You can park your bike here as well.
We can supply a couple of bikes for you with baby seats so that you can experience Copenhagen the local way. You can also choose to use the public Copenhagen Electrical City Bikes, which are available on "every corner". They are great and have build-in-tablets with maps and city guides.

A bar is going to upon at some point below our apartment, so some noise may accure on weekends.

The area: Our apartment is located in the heart of the vibrant, colorful and multi-cultural area called Noerrebro (Nørrebro) which is centrally located 1,5 km from the old city center and Latin Quarter. Noerrebro is the most densely populated area in Denmark. It is a young area with lots of families and students. It is known for being very creative and progressive. It is an area designed for walking and biking, not for cars. You can park your car here, but it is not practical for getting around the city. However we have great public transportation. Our neighborhood has loads of great little shops, bars and restaurants. Our apartment has 3 supermarkets within 100 m. It is 50 m from Assistens cemetery (where H.C. Andersen, Soeren Kirkegaard among others are buried) where you can go for beautiful, tranquil walks, picnic or take in history. It is 300 m from The Lakes. It has lots of cool playgrounds, 5 playgrounds and a petting zoo within 300 m. Public Transport: Our apartment is 100 m from 5 bus lines and 700 m from Forum Metro Station, which takes you directly to the airport in 25 min, the beach in 20 min or Christania or Nyhavn in 8 min. Copenhagen Central Station is 1,5 km away. From there you can take a train to Malmø, Sweden in 40 min.

Our neighborhood is full of great places to eat. From little vegan cafes to trendy bistros. There are many great, but cheap meals to be had, and there is also high and even Michelin restaurants. We can recommend lots depending on what you are after.
Por la noche
Our neighborhood has a great nightlife with many small bars frequended by locals, but also very popular with people from other parts of the city. At the same time Noerebro is pretty quiet at night. If clubbing is what you are after, you can go to vesterbro or Indre by. Both are within 1,5 km
We are surrounded by great little shops. Certain streets are full of antic shops, others design or vintage clothing.
Cultura e historia
Noerebro is an area which was (mostly) build between the 1860s and 1920s. It inclued the beautiful Assistens Cemetery¨, where Hans Christian Andersen, Niels Bohr and Soeren Kirkegaard amongst many others are buried. Our neighborhood is in walking distance of the very heart of the city with all its history and museums.
De paseo
Our house is 50 meters from Assistens Cemetery and 300 m from the beautiful Great Lakes where you can go for a 7 km jog waterside
Un poco de ejercicio
Our house is 50 meters from Assistens Cemetery and 300 m from the beautiful Lakes where you can go for a 7 km jog waterside. You can also take one of our bikes and go through the city on one of its many super bike routes. Or you can take a swin in the harbor 8 minutes away by bike
Take a trip to Malmö, Sweden. It is a 40 minute train ride away and we live close to the station. You can also take the train a picturesque north along the coast to Helsingor and visit the Castle, home of Hamlet.
