Acerca de nuestra casa

6th floor apartment, with a view of Sacre Coeur, ideal for a couple, though there is also a single bed in the sitting room. Decorated with style and the buys of many voyages this is a great place to discover Paris. Small balcony looking out over a street market and with enough room to drink an aperitif and take in the street life below. There is double glazing, ensuring that nights are not perturbed by the street life! Only minutes from the metro. Light, and a very well equipped kitchen, where you can experiment with all the local produce.Separate bathroom/WC. The sitting/dining area is comfortably furnished, with a TV/DVD, and windows giving onto the balcony. There is also a concierge in the building.

  1. I've now been living in Paris for 30 years - I started my time in Paris in the same area and eventually returned here 6 years ago. Its changed from a 'quartier populaire' to a real melting pot of cultures and I love it. To me its a definate plus living alongside all the latest arrivals - Indians, Turks, Africans, and Arabs. Its an opportunity to try out different cuisines and to find out about different cultures.
I am a nurse specialising in hospital care in the home, which often brings me into contact with these people.
My hobbies are cooking, world music (France is a great place to be), cycling (directly outside the front door are bikes which you can use as much as you want for a 1¤/24 hour ticket) - well the first half hour is free. Its a great way to discover Paris. Walking - Paris is very small, crossable in 3 hours on foot. And travelling - I combine backpack travel and working. My other great love is cinema and I'm lucky enough to have 2 great cinemas almost on my doorstep.
When not doing any of those I'm quite happy to sit on my balcony and look at the constant activity in the street below - it is never boring!

The 10th arrondissement, one of the oldest in Paris, is within walking distance of Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est. This is an area packed with history, and is near all the major monuments. More recently it has become very animated and multi-cultural, which means a wide choice of restaurants, cafes and supermarkets specialising in different cultures.
The metro, 3 lines, is 30 seconds walk, and directly outside the front door are the free bikes (or 1¤) for a 24 hour ticket. Most of the major museums are within walking distance, or a short metro ride, same goes for the department stores, though there are plenty of shopping opportunities locally. For relaxing after all that culture/shopping there are cafe/bars and the Canal Saint Martin, plus several famous music halls and theatres. It is a safe area despite all the animation and is slowly but surely becoming one of best places to live in Paris.
