Acerca de nuestra casa

Our house is comfortable and spacious. On ground floor you'll find the kitchen, the living-room with masonry heater, the dining-room and a small wc. Upstairs there are two bedrooms each with a Japanese futon for two persons and a big bathroom with whirlpool and balcony. On the second floor there are the children's bedrooms, one also with a futon and the other one with a common bed, both beds suitable for two people each. Outside you'll come into the courtyard with some outbuildings and a barn. Going through the barn you will find the garden which is very nice to stay in.

Más sobre nosotros

  1. We are Barbara (50) and Werner (56), living with our son René (15).
Barbara is working self-employed as a breathing therapist and Werner as a tax consultant. In the neighbour house lives our older son Julian with his girlfriend who can assist you in all the details of our house.
We already did several home exchanges and always had good experiences with it. We have a cat which normally lives outside, one aquarium and four chicken (you may collect the eggs for your own) that must be cared for by visitors. Beside the countries mentioned above we also like to go to Belgium, Luxemburg, Austria, North-Italy and Croatia or exchange homes in between Germany, but NOT outside Europe. We also want to stay here during summer holidays normally and prefer exchanges during Easter and/or autumn holidays (dates vary from year to year in Germany).
We recommend to contact us via email to first learn to know each other a bit and to exchange more detailed information.

Our village is located in Rheinhessen, a wine region with an old history. As our village is small and calm you won't find here any important places of interest (except for the little Romanic church with nice frescoes). But for sight-seeing the cities of Mainz (birth-town of Gutenberg), Worms and Speyer with their old Romanic cathedrals are not far away. Oppenheim and Nierstein situated at the river Rhine are famous for their wines and Oppenheim also owns a very beautiful Gothic cathedral. You also may want to do a boat trip on the river Rhine from Mainz to the romantic Rhine valley between Bingen and Koblenz with the Loreley rock (UNESCO world heritage). For sophisticated shopping you might go to Wiesbaden or even Frankfurt, but for all your everyday demands shops are in the nearby small town of Wörrstadt. Other interesting places to go are the medieval towns of Alzey and Kirchheimbolanden, Bad Kreuznach and the Nahe valley, the mountain Donnersberg with Celtic relicts and a tremendous sight over the landscape or a bit farther the Barbarossa town of Kaiserslautern. If you want to make a trip to France or Luxemburg you will be there in 1 1/2 (France - Alsace or Lorraine) to 2 1/2 hours (Luxemburg) by car.
