Más sobre nosotros

  1. We are Ludovic and Loula, a franco-african family living in Guadeloupe since 7 years. Emmanuel is our son (14 years old). The last inhabitant is a cat called Gribouille (you must feed her). I teach in a high-school, Loula makes baby-sitting and is busy with the garden. We love travelling around the world. Before the Caribbean, we lived in Africa, France and Indian Ocean. We are making a home exchange for the first time.

We are living in the montainous area of Guadeloupe (French West Indies). St-Claude is a village located on the west side of the Soufrière volcano (1477m.), facing the Caribbean Sea. Going down to the shore, you arrive in the city of Basse-Terre (15.000 inhabitants)in a few minutes. Our quater in St-Claude (altitude: 500m.) is a panoramic point of view on the Carribean Sea, the Caribbean mountains and the Soufrière. From this quater, departures are possible to climb the volcano, walk along rivers or discover waterfalls in the area. By car, you reach the nearest beach to swim or dive in 10 minutes.Taking a boat in the village of Trois-Rivières (20 minutes from home by car)you can make an excursion to the Saintes, a beautiful archipelago. Activities: - Swimming, fishing, snorkelling, scuba diving (several clubs)... - Walking and trekking (forests, waterfalls, volcano). - Playing tennis or horse-back riding (clubs at less than 2 kilometers). - Nightclubbing. - You can also appreciate creole and french "cuisine": tropical fruits and vegetables, seafood...
