Acerca de nuestra casa

My home is comfortable, and spacious. There is a formal dining room, compact kitchen, and spacious living room with a cathedral ceiling which opens to a deck. Each bedroom has a balcony for sitting and enjoying the view of the tree filled reserve below. There is an office on the lower level. The house is cared for by Juana, the housekeeper, who comes daily. While older children are welcome it should be noted that the house has "floating" staircases which are not appropriate for small children.

Más sobre nosotros

  1. I am a professional who came to Mexico 20 years ago on a 3 month Fulbright grant...and never left! Over the years I have returned to the States to teach bi-lingual education in various universities but I always return to Mexico. I have lived in several different cities and love Coatepec most of all. I own two shops and an eco-lodge and love the way of life that this small town offers. I am, however, in the mood for an extended visit to the States which is why I am looking for an exchange for myself and my well behaved cocker spaniels.

We are located in the town of Coatepec which nestles in the cool, mist shrouded mountains above the hot, humid coastal area of the city of Veracruz. This quaint colonial town offers a peek into the evolving life of a small Mexican town. Since the early 1800's this has been the center of the rich, shade-grown coffee for which Veracruz is famous. These days, however, tourism centers more and more on the natural treasures of the region: waterfalls, river-rafting, hiking, bird-watching, mountain-climbing and spectacular flower/orchid shows. There are many interesting places to explore in the nearby environs ranging from museums, to haciendas, ruins, plantations of coffee, sugar cane and bamboo and vibrant cities.
