Our home is a sunny, warm and comfortable modern house on 3 levels, has 2 lounges both opening to the garden and patio. Each lounge has 2 sofas and chairs, the kitchen and dining combine. There are 2 bedrooms with double beds and 1 bedroom with a single bed.
The garden is private planted with a variety of trees, ornamental bushes, flower borders, lemons and grapefruit, fernery and succulents.
We are Richard and Linda, who are keen travellers and have lived in a few countries, looking forward to trying a house exchange as a way to get to know the country and people.
We love the outdoor life, countryside and walking, thats why we love the Nelson region. Looking forward to exploring more of the world!
The house is in the peaceful pictureque village of Mapua, well known for its fine cafes and restaurants. With beaches and estuary in walking distance. Mapua is a great base to explore the vineyards, arts and crafts of the Nelson region, which has the highest sunshine hours in New Zealand.
Nelson, the city and airport is 30 minutes by car, the Abel Tasman and the Karahungi national parks are close for the walker and nature lover to explore mountains and beautiful coastline.
