Casa Tranquila lies in the heart of Central Portugal. Originally built by a carpenter, it has been carefully restored and extended to enhance original features and oozes comfort and charm. We bought the property in 2008 and have made many changes to it, namely making two separate sleeping areas. We keep one end for ourselves and share the new part and living space and kitchen with guests or exchanges. Casa Tranquila is the perfect spot to completely get away from it all and relax with a good book on the roof terrace or be as active as you wish.

Casa Tranquila comfortably sleeps 4 but there is a sofa bed in the living room which could take another 2 people and we have a fold up bed also. We offer for exchange two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with bunk beds. The bathroom has a WC, sink and multi-jet shower.

Kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need. There is a large gas cooker, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee machine (capsules).

Casa Tranquila has a wonderful and extremely spacious open plan sociable and homely living space which encompasses the kitchen, dining area and living room. It is a super space to cook, relax and enjoy being with your family. There is comfortable seating and we have a cosy wood-burner.

We have a private roof terrace with panoramic views, BBQ and dining option as well as sun loungers and umbrella. Casa Tranquila is surrounded by garden, paved and graveled areas with fig, peach, olive trees and vines. For those of you that need, we have excellent wifi and a huge range of satellite tv channels.
