Acerca de nuestra casa

We have to offer our wonderful weather, a lovely beach with white sand and flat sea (water temp 17º to 22ºC), and very good food.

This house is our second home, for weekends and holidays.
It is a 4 floors house:
Underground floor (but with windows to the outside)- Living room/Bedroom (campaing bed)
Ground floor - Kitchen, Dining/Living area and Toilet.
1st Floor- 2 Bedrooms (one double bed and one with two single beds). Bathroom and balcony.
2nd Floor- Balcony and terrace.
The house has all the accommodations and facilities, like dining service, sofa, cable tv, central warning system, kitchen with all the equipments, etc…

It is on the beach, at only 5 minutes by feet far from the California beach (See the photos).

Sesimbra is a touristic old fishing village with a great beach and several fine and inexpensive restaurants (high quality fresh fish and very good wine). It is a paradisiacal sunny place, known by the “Pearl of the Atlantic Ocean” (seach "Sesimbra" in Wikipedia).

You can discover all Sesimbra has to offer visiting the English page of site

Sesimbra is located at the Atlantic coast, at only 35 kms (22miles) from Lisbon, the Capital of Portugal. There are bus connections between Sesimbra and the Lisbon center. There is also an inexpensive Taxi service that takes you to the most unusual places, and to the most amazing views in the surroundings. There are a lot of nice things to do, like play golf in the several golf fields we have in the surroundings.

Lisbon won recently the World Travel Awards, at world level, for the best European destination. Lisbon won more 3 awards, 2 of them were for the best city breaks and for the best cruiser destination.

Sesimbra is a small village where you can reach everything just walking, but there is some slope (may be problematic to people with severe walking problems). The Castle is the highest point, with 240m in height above the sea (but it is already outside the village). The highest part of the village is up to 50 metros above the sea.
This is because Sesimbra's sea is a border of the Arrabida natural park. Arrabida is a Portuguese mountain known by its unique flora and by its localization, over the sea and on the northern shore of the Sado River. There you can hiking or travel by car or bicycle (but be aware: the elevation of Arrabida mountain is about 500m, 1,637 ft). There is a lot of information in the net that you can explore about it.

The Highway A1 enterance, located at about 15km (9miles) from Sesimbra, takes you directly to the South (Algarve: Albufeira, Carvoeiro, Faro, etc), to North (Fátima, Leiria, Coimbra, OPorto, Braga) or to the East (Evora, Portalegre, Beja and Spain).
