Acerca de nuestra casa

A unique property that has only had four owners since its construction in 1907 and has managed to retain most of the original features of what is one of the most striking houses in an architecturally fascinating market town.
The plot of land that the house stands on was originally given by an indulgent father as wedding present to his daughter, with the instruction that he would pay for a house to be built for her.
Local legend has it that the father never spoke to his daughter again after he was presented with the craftsmen's bills!
The stained glass windows and high ceilings with ornate plasterwork give a real feeling of space and elegance whilst providing a really easy and comfortable environment to live in.

Banbury is an ancient market town on the edge of the Cotswolds, rich in history and immortalized in the rhyme "Ride a cock horse to Banbury Cross".
A three minute walk takes you into the centre of town with its shops, restaurants and market (Thursdays & Saturdays).
Although we have the convenience of being in the centre of town, the garden is private and very secluded with only the town clocks striking the quarter hour to remind you where you are.
The sports centre in town opened last year and the open air Lido has just been refurbished giving the chance to spend the whole day enjoying the sun and water.

Shakespeare's birthplace - Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwick Castle, and Blenheim Palace are all less than an hour away. The "Dreaming Spires" of Oxford are a mere 20 minutes away by train and the journey into London takes only one hour fifteen minutes meaning that you can have dinner and catch a show on the West End and get the late train home.

There are buses that will take you directly to Heathrow or Birmingham airports if you want to expand your trip to include some other European capitals in your holiday.
