Acerca de nuestra casa

Harebell House, which is on four floors, is a Georgian Grade 2 listed building (built circa 1820) with many original features. The house faces a beautiful wooded park. There are steps from the front garden up to the front door which leads into the main hall. The sitting room and dining room lead off the hall on this level and the kitchen then leads off the dining room. In addition, there is also a small balcony (ideal for breakfast in the summer) leading off the dining room. The master bedroom, with generous en-suite bathroom, occupies the whole of the first floor and the guest bedroom, guest bathroom and study (third bedroom) occupy the second floor. There is a self-contained, single bedroomed, apartment (with separate entrance) at semi-basement/garden level which is occupied by a friend. The rear walled garden is for the use of the main house and loungers and a table and chairs are available. At the end of the garden is the original Georgian coach house (now a garage) with a small gym on the first floor.

  1. We are both retired and have always enjoyed travelling. We also have a house in a rural part of South West France (near Toulouse) where we usually spend the summer - this allows us to offer non-simultaneous exchange.

The house is five minutes walk from the centre of Bath which is city of fine Georgian architecture and wonderful Roman archeology - it is classified as a World Heritage city (for additional tourist information see In addition to its architecture and archeology, Bath is great for shopping and there is a wide range of restaurants and bars. Bath is 1 hour 50 mins by train from central London and there are good road and rail links to Bristol, Heathrow and Gatwick airports. Bath is surrounded by wonderful countryside and picturesque villages which is great for walking/cycling. About two hours by car to the South of Bath is the Dorset Coast (the Jurassic Coast - another World Heritage site) and Stonehenge is one hour away.
