Más sobre nosotros

  1. We are in our 70s and enjoy travelling together. At home we love the good life that Bristol and nearby Bath have to offer: theatre, cinema, opera, eating out and walking in the lovely surrounding countryside. These are all things we hope to experience on our travels.

Jon still lectures part-time in the Engineering department of the University of Bristol whilst Susan, after a busy life, now dedicates herself to enjoyment, which includes entertaining and keeping her lovely garden in trim.

Between us we have six children and eleven-and-a-half grandchildren - but we don't intend bringing any of them with us!

Royal York Crescent is a prominent feature of Clifton, the premiere area of Bristol with much fine architecture. It is adjacent to the attractive village area with its many restaurants, pubs and numerous boutiques. Close by is the Avon Gorge, spanned by Brunel's famous suspension bridge.

The historic city centre has at its heart the old docks area, the relic of centuries of maritime history. It now provides the visitor with a wealth of places to visit and miles of attractive waterside walks with places to eat and drink. There are cinemas, theatres, museums and galleries.

Not only is the city itself a place of green oases, but the varied and lovely surrounding countryside is short drives away, with the easy options of Wales and other places to get to quickly on the excellent motorway system. London is less than two hours by train and Bristol is also an excellent centre from which to visit Europe, with flights to most capital cities.
