Acerca de nuestra casa

My bungalow is comfortable and homely. There is a lounge and bedroom with single bed in the front; at t he back, a bathroom with walk-in shower, toilet and basin, a bedroom with single or pull-out double bed and a kitchen/diner.
I have just finished adding a garden room to the rear of the bungalow, using straw bales for the walls - Grand Designs eat your heart out! This has a verandah overlooking the garden, which is mainly laid to grass and fully enclosed.

  1. I am a widow and moved here 2 years ago to be near my son and family who live in this village. There are 3 grandchildren for me to play with - lovely! I usually holiday with my good friend Vanessa and her well behaved labrador; we trundle off with our caravans all over the place. We enjoy walking and most outdoor pursuits. This is the first year for trying home swapping

My bungalow is near the centre of the village of Cholsey with its shop, butcher, chemist, café, pub and mainline railway station. Our Parish Church, although parts of it are 1000 years old, has a lively presence in the village and Agatha Christie buried in the churchyard. The river Thames is a mile away and historic Wallingford is 2 miles away. There is a local bus service, trains to Oxford, London and Reading. There is a heritage railway line - the Bunk Line - that runs most week-ends in the summer between Cholsey and Wallingford. Cholsey is a quiet village with an excellent recreation ground, good walking area including the Thames Footpath.
Local Area:- Oxford with its historic buildings and Colleges, Wallingford, the home of Agatha Christie for 40 years, and a ruined castle, Blenheim Palace and several National Trust properties, ancient Dorchester - not the one in Dorset. The local flock of Red Kites are a sight to be seen.
