Acerca de nuestra casa

Our home is an old terraced house built around 1830. It is a warm and comfortable family home. We have lived here for over 13 years and really love it. The kitchen and the living room form one big area which is especially cosy when we light the fire in the winter. It is on 4 floors, but we do not really use the basement area at the moment. At the back we have a small garden with a brick wall all around. At the front we have a park, which is the centre for many local community activities. The neighbours are really friendly too.

Más sobre nosotros

  1. We are Laurence and Lucie and have been together over 25 years. Laurence is in his early sixties and Lucie is in her fifties. We both work in the charity sector. Lucie is the chief executive of a local charity and Laurence works in social housing. We have 2 children together. Our older son is in Miami studying Physics at University for his third year. Our younger son is now 12 years old and goes to school locally. We are very friendly and sociable and have lots of friends in the area. We enjoy singing, sailing and dancing and going away in our vw campervan.

Our home is very close to the city centre. It is also opposite a park which is especially popular with children and dog walkers. Exeter is a small (pop c115,000) city and it has a lot of history. There is a cathedral dating back to the middle ages and there are the remains of a Roman Wall around the city centre. We are close to a swimming pool, cinema, restaurants, shops. The station is a 20 minute walk and a fast train to London takes 2 hours. We are also close to the sea (20 mins by local train) where the Jurassic coast spans from Exmouth to Chesil beach. Dartmoor, an area of outstanding natural beauty is not too far away either.
