Acerca de nuestra casa

Our home 'Witsend' was built about 300 years ago on the edge of the village of Framlingham as 3 village cottages. These have now become a main and adjoining annex which can be available throughout the year;Visit London for a day or two which is about 90 minutes away by train or stay local with our castle, vineyards, restaurants and pubs; walking and cycling. We are just 30 minutes from the famous seaside towns of Aldeburgh and 20 minutes from the Snape Festival complex created by Benjamin Britten. 'Witsend' has an American style family room and adjoining kitchen all in traditional materials, ancient beams and new white ash open stairways with a large wood burner fireplace mixing old and new. The new main shower room is downstairs and there is an ensuite toilet to the main bedroom. An extra toilet is outside. Cat friendly well behaved dogs are welcome and children over the age of 11 (bunk beds). Witsend is easy to get to and although built on the edge of the vibrant Suffolk town overlooking the fields yet within easy walking distance of the town and its fabulous facilities. On each Tuesday and Saturday there is a well attended market and the church bells ring out on Sundays. Framlingham is one of the most popular English towns to live in and famous for its Castle as it was from here that Mary 1st marched on London to claim her crown and indeed in the public eye more recently for the musician Ed Sheeran who grew up here and has a home nearby.
