Our mid 1920's semi detached home with period features was fully refurbished in 2013 and offers convenient family accommodation in comfortable surroundings in North London. We are located in a leafy, affluent suburb which offers an excellent base to discover London and its attractions.

7 miles north of the centre of London, the property boasts easy access to Central London (25 minutes) with the Northern Line running directly to the West End (Leicester Square) and South Bank (Waterloo). North London attractions of Highgate, Hampstead and Camden Town are within easy distance by tube or car, whilst nearby mainline train stations Euston and Kings Cross offer connections to major cities across the UK. National motorways are 10 minutes drive away allowing for day trips to Oxford, Cambridge and the surrounding countryside.

Local amenities include an attractive local park with pond, playground and outdoor cafe just 3 minutes walking distance; soft play centres, public swimming pools, 4 golf courses; and local high street shops, delis, pubs and cafes in North Finchley and Whetstone within 5-10 minutes walk. A 10 mile river side walk runs behind our house and into the countryside outside London.

Entry to the house through a spacious, well lit hallway leads on to a large through lounge with 42" plasma TV, PS4, extensive digital film/music libraries and Sonos sound system (available throughout the house) providing a welcome recreation area. The kitchen includes a range cooker for keen chefs, breakfast area and a separate utility space with downstairs toilet and washing machine as well as second fridge freezer. Access to a mature garden with patio and fruit trees from both the adjoining formal dining room and kitchen.

Upstairs provides sleeping for 5 people with two large double bedrooms (Super King Bed 180 x 200 cm & King Bed 150 x 200 cm) and one single bedroom. Good size bathroom with shower and very large bath. Cot and baby changing facilities are also available.

Off street parking. The house is fully equipped with security system.

No smoking or pets. Car swap possible (Honda Jazz 2010)

Our house is a wonderful base from which to explore London's sights and attractions, and yet be able to escape back to a peaceful and relaxing family home.

  1. We are Mark and Kay, a married couple with two young daughters. We are both professionals, Mark is a secondary Geography teacher and Kay is a marketing manager for an international events company. We love travelling, foreign cultures and exploring new destinations.

    With two young children we are always keen to swap with homes that have facilities for young children.

    We love where we live and when at home, we love going for relaxing walks in the surrounding green areas and enjoying the local pubs and restaurants. We are avid theatre fans and do our best to take in the latest productions that London has to offer.

    We would treat your home with the greatest respect and look forward to sharing our home and exciting city with you. You will be spoilt for choice!

    Please note that Kay is allergic to cat hair, so we don't want to do exchanges if you have them.

We are located in leafy North London, 7 miles north of the centre of London. We have easy access (5 mins walk) to the Northern Line which runs directly into central London and all that it offers. We are also ideally located for visiting the rest of the England, allowing day trips to Oxford and Cambridge (both 1 hour 15 mins by car), Bath (2 hours 15 mins), Stratford upon Avon (2 hours) and York (3 hours 30 mins)
