Acerca de nuestra casa

We have a fantastic, stylish and very well presented two bed apartment in central London - Zone 1

There's one main bedroom with double bed, and a second bedroom which is a decent size but we use as a study as Jesse works mainly from home. It's ideal for a couple, but could sleep one more either on our inflatable spare bed, and also the sofa in the front room could sleep one person. We might be able to arrange a single temporary bed if longer period.

We've recently redecorated, and put in a lovely new kitchen with dishwasher etc, the carpets and walls are cream. There is a Bathroom with Shower and Bath, central heating and instant hot water. We couldn't take a photo because of mirrors, but is very presentable and clean.

All the windows look out onto a park, and there's plenty of light, with the afternoon sun coming into the south west facing rooms, sunset over the park in the evenings (though it's such a great area you won't want to stay in!)

It's lovely and warm in winter and cool in summer, first floor, with a car that could be included and a private car parking space, our car is optional, if needed, but to be honest, it's easier to get around by tube and bus. We're 5-10 mins from both, with fast connections to all over London, and a cycle ride from the olympic sites down the canal.

Más sobre nosotros

  1. We are Natalie and Jesse mid 30's and early 40's, we don't have any children. We both work for a Charity/NGOs. Jesse for an international human rights organisation, myself for a charity helping older people in the UK.

We both love to travel, I've lived in Ireland (Dublin), France (Haute Savoie) and both of us lived in Sri Lanka, I speak a little French if needed (though it's not the best!). We'd love to visit Italy, it was where we planning to tour before we hit upon home exchange. We'd prefer to stay here for the Olympics, but will consider anything outside of July/August.

Really we're happy to be surprised but currently not interesting in Australia.

Situated in zone one, in Shoreditch/Hoxton, a trendy, arty area of London. Well known for its artists, designers and vibrant cafe and nigh life. We're fantastically located for the markets of East London. The White Cube Gallery is at the end of the road in Hoxton Square. Brick Lane, Spitalfields, Colombia Rd Flower Market and Broadway Market are all a short walk away, and the famous Borough food market is only 3 stops on the tube (nearest tube Old St, and Also London Overground Hoxton)

You can get from here to the Olympic sites really easily, by bike or train, or 20/30 mins by bus or tube into the West End. Nearest Tube is Old St, on the Northern line.

If you like exploring, we're 10 mins walk into the city of London, with all its backstreets and winding Alleys, an hours walk would have you down to St Paul's Cathedral and across the river Thames to the Tate Modern. Or 25 mins to the Barbican arts and music venue, or to Liverpool St and the footsteps of Jack the Ripper. You could choose to trace the route of Oliver Twist's walk into London through nearby Angel Islington and Upper Street.

Our apartment block neighbours are very friendly and my best friend lives across the park, who will all be around to help if any problems.

There are tennis courts across the road, and a Gym and splash pool, basic but useful if you like to stay fit even on holiday.
