Acerca de nuestra casa

Our house is an end-of-terrace house built in the 1880s. It is decorated in a mix of modern and traditional, and has recently been refurbished and repainted so it has a fresh airy feel. The master bedroom has a king-size bed. The smaller second bedroom is set up for our daughter with a small bed, and there is also a double blow-up mattress which could be used to sleep in this room or the sitting room. We also nave two cots. We have a fully-equipped kitchen, a beautiful bathroom with bath and shower facilities, a sitting/dining room and a small garden with table and chairs where you can sit out beneath a pear tree.

Más sobre nosotros

  1. We are two teachers in our early thirties - please note that because of this we are only available for a swap in school holiday times! We have a two-year old daughter and another young baby girl. We are committed Londoners, and Stoke Newington is our favourite area in London.

Stoke Newington is a fantastically vibrant area of North East London. The nearest tube is about a 25 minute walk (or short bus ride) away, which has helped it retain a village-y feel, even in zone 2 of London. We are lucky enough to live on a quiet street less than a minute away from Church Street, the hub of this area. It is famous in London for retaining its "hippie" character, and has many funky vintage shops, lots of cool cafes, and some gorgeous restaurants, particularly Indian restaurants. At the same time as enjoying this village feel, we are extremely well-connected to central London. We live a short bus ride from Angel Islington, the heart of North London, and are just 25 minutes on the bus from King's Cross station. There is a mainline train station just up the road which gets you to Liverpool Street Station in under 20 minutes.
