Acerca de nuestra casa

We live in a lovely chalet bungalow in a village about 3 miles from Falmouth. There is a fitted kitchen with gas oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge and microwave, bread maker coffee maker toaster etc. The utility room has a tumble dryer and the washing machine is in the integral garage. .
We have a lovely and comfortable west facing conservatory, looking lover the private rear garden, which is full of azaleas, rhododendrons, fuchsias and other shrubs/flowers.
The dining room is off the kitchen overlooking the rear garden, a nice lounge with smart TV, DVD player/recorder, digital radio.
There is a bathroom with separate shower, bath and toilet. Second toilet through utility room.
Bed one has double bed with nice views and fitted wardrobes with plenty of space for clothes.
Bed two is upstairs and has lovely views . It has twin beds, TV and hanging space with set of drawers.
Bed 3 has only a sofa-bed so would not be offered unless in an emergency!
There is a garage with two bikes (one ladies and one gents), Plenty of parking. For 2/3 cars
Outside we have a sitting area with patio table and 6 chairs and there is BBQ for your use in the shed. Lawn and gardens. Greenhouse.

  1. My husband is a retired design engineer and I have looked after children for over twenty years since leaving the OT dept. of our local hospital but am now also retired. We moved down to Cornwall in 2014 to be nearer to our daughter and their two young daughters.
After talking to neighbours, who have used homes for exchange many times, we thought it sounded like a good idea of going to many different places and keeping the costs down at the same time. We are both non- smokers and would look after your home as we would trust you to look after ours.

We may, from time to time, be 4 people travelling, but that would be with two adult friends, also non smokers.
We like reading, walking and dining out, and enjoy both the rural and the city environment.

Our village is fairly quiet with one shop just around the corner incorporating the Post Office. Asda supermarket is only 500 yds down the hill and has everything you can ever need! The local pub is 75 yds away and serves good meals should you not want to cook. Falmouth is about 3 miles away where there are lots of pleasure cruises from Prince William pier to take you on day trips, fishing trips, to Truro or along the coast. There is also a ferry over to the Roseland peninsular where you can spend a lazy day looking around the castle and the pretty village of St Mawes.
Around us are lovely gardens to visit, fishing trips, boat trips, surfing, lovely coastal walks and many interesting and pretty villages and towns, all offering something quirky and quaint. There are many restaurants in Falmouth from African, Indian, Chinese etc. or you can get your Fish and chips from the famous Rick Stein restaurant. However, we go to Harbour Lights in Falmouth!
Truro, the county town of Cornwall is around 10 miles away and Newquay, with its surfing beaches is approx. 18 miles. Further afield is Tintagel, which is situated on the North coast of Cornwall and is renowned for its association with the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table. There is still evidence of the tin mining that Cornwall was once famous for with the remains of the tin mine chimney stacks showing above the ground. There is something for everyone to enjoy whatever their age.
