Acerca de nuestra casa

An end of terrace, 1920's 3 bedroom house, on the outskirts of the bustling seaside city of Brighton known as 'London by the sea', approximately an hour from London by train.

The house has a through lounge/dinner, small kitchen and toilet downstairs, and upstairs are 2 double bedrooms, a study and bathroom. The master bedroom has views over houses towards open countryside.

The back garden is a suntrap, being sheltered and South West facing, it catches rays from midday to late evening. There are two patios with outdoor seating, and a shed with parasols, sun loungers and bicycles. There are many plants, and in summer they like watering!

In our home there's wireless internet, Virgin media TV, a keyboard, guitars, stereo, and many precious CD's and books. It is an eclectic, cosy, arty, peaceful space to relax after a busy day or night out in the lively city of Brighton & Hove.

Más sobre nosotros

  1. We are a couple in our late thirties/early forties, who have lived in Brighton for over ten years. We enjoy the cosmopolitan life, having lived in the city centre for many years, but moved to the outskirts to buy an affordable house 3 years ago. It offers the best of both worlds, with regular bus routes to the city, and walks in open countryside on our doorstep. The village area is characterful and quaint, and the local park is serene.

We enjoy reading, political debate, walking, cooking, listening to and playing music, going to gigs, concerts, independent cinema screenings, festivals and comedy shows. Graham also likes football, cycling, playing his guitar and watching science documentaries. Jackie also likes creating art, seeing friends and meditating. (There is a small Buddhist shrine in the corner of the dining room).

Graham is a housing manager in the public sector and Jackie is an artist/community recovery worker in mental health. We have a beagle dog called Alfie, who adores our neighbours and stays there sometimes when we holiday.

We would love to visit many European cities; including, Prague, Budapest, Amsterdam, Bruges, Berlin, Marburg, Dubrovnik, Bilbao, Seville..... We are looking to take a holiday in the New Year.

Situated on the edge of a leafy old village dating back to Norman times, on a quiet suburban street, our house has excellent public transport links to the city of Brighton, and is within walking distance of open countryside of the South Downs National Park.

Buses to Brighton run approximately every 10 minutes in the day, and also run late into the night, taking on average 30 minutes to get to the centre of the city, or 20 minutes to reach Hove seafront. The local train station is a 20 minute walk, and trains to London are two an hour taking just over an hour to reach Victoria.

Brighton is a cosmopolitan, liberal, artistic, environmentally Green city, with independent shops, cafes, bars, clubs, a bustling seafront, pier, palace, parks, arts festivals, and generally a relaxed holiday atmosphere. It has a thriving gay scene and annual Pride festival.

Hove adjoins Brighton, and has a quieter seafront and promenade lined with Regency terraces and grandiose squares, and is a great place to escape crowds of bustling tourists in the summer.
