Acerca de nuestra casa

We are 2 minutes from the beach. 45 Minutes from Ski Resort. We have recently moved to a new house beside the beach. The house has 3 bedrooms, 1 large shower room upstairs with 2 double bedrooms, one with king size bed, 1 with double bed. Downstairs has 1 bedroom with 2 single beds bath/shower room as well. Large brand new kitchen, dining room and large comfortable lounge. every window has views of the sea. There is an airport just outside Inverness which from here is approx 20 miles, buses will take you to Inverness, then back to Fortrose. Every room is newly decorated. We have done a number of house swaps during the years and have never had a bad experience yet. People have been very respectful of our home and we have been of theirs. Our home is spotlessly clean and tidy and that is all we ask in return is that you leave it as you find it, we will leave your home as we find it.

Terry was a Self employed Business Consultant working mainly with EU & British companies and Agencies. Bill joined this Business when he retired early.

  3. We love quiet holidays in the sun where there are cultural things to see and do. We enjoy music, reading, walking, relaxing and holidays near the sea or lakes.

There is a links golf course the house looks on to the 9th hole clubhouse through the path and round the corner, it also serves food and drinks, tennis, sailing, horse riding, museums in and around Fortrose (our village) Cromarty and Rosemarkie. We also have an ancient cathedral and lots of lovely historical buildings and lovely walks to see the dolphins which you can occasionally see from the house. There is also a very interesting walk to Eathie beach where you will find lots of different fossils. Some good place to eat in Avoch, Fortrose, Rosemarkie and Cromarty which are well worth a visit.

Cromarty is a very interesting little village to visit, it has lovely restaurant, hotel and lots of very interesting history attached, Courthouse museum, car ferry to take you further north and across the Cromarty Firth to Easter Ross and lots more lovely walks and things to see and do.

Suitors Creek, Cromarty & Crofters, Rosemarkie, IV10 Fortrose
Por la noche

Cultura e historia
We have over 100 bottlenose dolphins live in the Moray Firth 3 mins from the house but can sometimes be seen from the window.

Woodland walks, sea walks, orienteering groups, forest walks.
Un poco de ejercicio
There is local leisure centre with activities through out the year and it also has a gym and excercise machines etc. During the summer there are lots for children to do. Walk to Rosemarkie beach which has little cafe and playback as well as sandy beach. The fossil beach at Eathie is amazing but wear proper shoes. Visit Rosemarkie museum ‘Groam House’ where you can read and see the stones and history of the Picts when they were here. Lots more history is available as well such as the ancient ruin of the Fortrose Cathedral ruin.
You can take the bus into Inverness there is a half hour service. Everything you need though just to soak up culture and buy your daily food is all local.
