Acerca de nuestra casa

My flat is new (built January 2006) and is in London SE1 (travel zone 1). It has wooden floors and is light and airy. It is on the 5th (top) floor of the building, with a terrace where you can eat dinner or have a gin and tonic while you admire the view north across London.

It has one large bedroom with double bed, and a double sofa-bed in the living room. There is a large bathroom, and plenty of closet space. The kitchen is off the main living room area, which has fantastic natural light due to one wall being almost all glass. Access to the terrace via sliding glass door in the main living area.

  1. I am single and work partly for an employer, partly from home. I have worked as a travel writer, and enjoy visiting other countries, where I particularly enjoy trying to live as locals do, hence my interest in a home exchange.

I live in the Elephant and Castle area of central London, which is undergoing a major regeneration in the next decade. It is a lively and intriguing area, but for a short-term visitor is particularly sought after for its proximity to the West End, the river Thames and Bankside. It is just a 15 min walk to Borough Market and London Bridge, 10 mins bus to the South Bank, and 20 min bus to the West End.
