Acerca de nuestra casa

Situated in the garden of a 16th Century Village house, the cottage is quiet and peaceful. It has exposed beamed ceilings, cool décor and is attractively furnished with period furniture, paintings and books. There's TV, radio and DVD, and high speed internet.
The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric cooker with oven, 'fridge, microwave and washing machine.
Only five stairs lead to the double bedroom with its double-aspect windows to north and south. The adjacent bathroom has a hand basin, toilet, and bath with a hand shower.
Double doors from the sitting room lead to the visitors' own patio with garden furniture, from where there are lovely views of the garden and the surrounding countryside.

Más sobre nosotros

  1. My husband and I are retired but both very active. He was a Chief Executive, and I a music teacher. Our cottage is a second home and available all year, also for letting. We have exchanged a London flat all over the world for many years with great success, but it's no longer available so we offer our country cottage.
We no longer want long haul flights hence we specify Europe only. We like France, Germany, and all areas of Europe, especially the Alps in winter, interesting cities, mountains and lakes within reach of the Channel crossings, and also are open to exchanges to all parts of the UK.

  2. We're keen walkers, love the countryside, theatre, concerts, all things historical and we are avid readers. Sandy beaches have no appeal for us but we do like coastal walking. Second homes suit us very well because that's what we offer.

  3. Our cottage is a modernised farm building but still retains the old beams. It's in the garden of our traditional village house. We haven't the complete deeds except a document that tells us that the house, outbuildings and land changed hands in the 14th year of the reign of James Ist. He succeeded Elizabeth Ist in 1603. So it could well be of 15th Century origin.
We have a lovely large garden which has a summer house, trees & shrubs, lawns, fruit trees, a vegetable garden and a wildlife pond.
